Exhibition at Aberfeldy FACE Gallery

The official opening of FACE Gallery and Studio, 10 Dunkeld Street, Aberfeldy took place on 30 May.  The success of the evening could simply be measured in the vast number of people that attended from across Scotland to view the current exhibition (see pictures below)

The work on display is by Claire Ramsay, a Scottish Artist, who has recently developed and executed the FACE (Fine Art and Contemporary Exhibits) initiative.

The exhibition shows a collection of her work covering the period from 2000 to present in which she has gained a First Class Honours Degree from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee and her Masters in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art and Design, London.

While specialising in Figurative works usually in her prefered medium of oil paint, her passion for both is clearly shown through her works - the intensity, vibrancy and depth within her paintings is outstanding.  "Her handling of paint is completely on another level," was just one of the many great responses during the evening.

Claire intends to use  FACE  not only to show her own work but to allow a space for other emerging artists to display their works into this flourishing artistic area.  Over the years, Claire has completed many commisssions and hopes to continue this.

Anyone interested in any aspects of the FACE Gallery and Studio, or in discussing a commisssion, should call in to FACE for further information.
