Architect Practice's Changes

The Perthshire office of A+G architects, formerly Allcock and Grieves, has appointed Jeff Hall to the position of Associate.
Jeff (37), from Strathtay, has been with the company for almost two years and wil now take day-to-day responsibility for the Blair Atholl office’s projects. Reporting to practice director Bryan Hall, Jeff will also assist with marketing the practice and new business development.

During his 20-year architectural career, Jeff has worked on a variety of residential, commercial and retail projects for blue chip clients including Boots, Asda, Marks and Spencer, Sainsbury’s and Thorntons. Locally he has had particular involvement with new-build residential developments, and small and large-scale commercial projects. He has worked closely with clients such as Atholl Estates on a variety of adaptation and conversion projects, and with major contractors including Algo Blairgowrie Ltd, on residential and commercial developments. Jeff has a special interest in eco-friendly and sustainable architecture.
Commenting on Jeff’s appointment, director Bryan Hall said: “The creation of the associate role coincides with a rebranding of the company and supports our strategy – to strengthen our business to develop future and sustained growth – here in Perthshire, and at our practices in Loughborough and Oxford.” The change of name to A+G architects now brings all three practices under the same, consistent branding, as Bryan Hall continues:
“We have traded as Allcock and Grieves since Edward Allcock and Robert Grieves founded the business in 1934,” he continued. “In recent years, we have experienced more growth than at any time during our history and we felt the time was right for our name and image to reflect how our business has evolved to date – forward thinking with a contemporary flair.”
He concluded: “In less than a decade we have grown from three people at one office in Loughborough, to employing 20 people in three UK practices. This network means we are strategically located to not only respond to local markets, but to handle any project throughout the UK also.”
