Italian Fashion Magazine Shoots Locally

‘In and around Pitlochry’ was the chosen location recently for top Italian children’s fashion magazine, ‘Book Moda Bambini’ to do a photo shoot using local children as models.

Julie Campbell of Thebe Mor Creative Studio, keen to promote Scotland as a premier location and responsible for the production of the shoot, brought the Milan team: two photographers, stylist and hair and makeup artist over to spend one week of intense shooting for five editorials, knowing the combination of location, quality of light and the children available have the potential to produce stunning results.

Julie said ‘we always use the summer season in Scotland for shooting the winter collections, and usually dark grey skies are guaranteed and sought after, however for the first time ever, we got one whole week of summer sun, and believe it or not, that was the Italian’s only complaint - not enough grey sky!

Sandra Grant, mum of Tim Grant from Ballinluig, said that ‘Tim really enjoyed the experience and hasn’t stopped talking about  it, it has given him more confidence‘.

Tim modelled both for the outerwear & technical clothing editorial, shot at Dalnaspidal and for the urban / punk fashion editorial shot in Glasgow.

Julie and husband Jose Gonzalez set up Thebe Mor Creative Studio, which primarily focuses on photography, graphics and web, on returning to her native Pitlochry, both seeking a lifestyle change from many years of working abroad in the fashion and music industries.

Julie thanks all the children and parents who took part and who contacted her.
