OOH Data Collection in Rannoch & Tummel


During the second week of June there was a further development in the long-running campaign to restore local GP out-of-hours cover to Kinloch Rannoch and the promotion by NHS Tayside of an alternative to this - the Community First Responders scheme.

Residents in and around Kinloch Rannoch and Tummel received a questionnaire and a reply-paid envelope in the post from the Centre for Rural Health in the Division of Applied Health Sciences at Aberdeen University.

No date was given for the return of the questionnaire.

The link below is to an epetition on the Scottish Parliament's official website "Calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to ensure that there is adequate provision for out of hours GP cover in all remote and rural areas in Scotland".

Details regarding the issue can be viewed by clicking on the "View petition background information" link at the bottom of the page. Please sign the petition if you support this statement and forward on to any and all who would be interested. 

The petition can be signed until 7 September before the Parliament's Scrutiny Committee examines it during the autumn session.
