Crannog Solstice Celebrations

In celebration of Perthshire Archaeology Month and the Summer Solstice the Scottish Crannog near Kenmore is hosting a number of weekend events during June.

The events move into evening on Saturday, 21 June as the Iron Age team celebrates the Summer Solstice with a special eveing of music, real ale, and barbecue. Performers include locals Claire Hewitt, Linda Dewar, Rallion, Peter Clark, and Tarneybackle who will alternate in sessions throughout the 8pm -11pm event as seating is limited in the Crannog. Tickets must be acquired in advance and are available directly from the Scottish Crannog Centre.

Archery

Rounding off the month’s activities, ‘Iron Age Archery’ on the 28 June is a new event suitable for ages 7+. A range of simple bows and arrows will be available for shooting at standard targets as well as at a stuffed wild boar. Tickets are separate from the crannog tour and should be booked in advance to guarantee a place. With such a wide range of activities to try, the Crannog Crew is sure that no one in the neighborhood can be bored this month! Further details and tickets, please telephone 01887 830583 or email info@crannog.co.uk
