Summer Celtic Evenings at Blair Castle

Blair Castle is once again hosting Pitlochry & Blair Atholl Pipe Band’s three Celtic Evenings in May, July and August.  The first event was on Wednesday 28 May, with the following two on Wednesday 9 July and Tuesday 19 August.

The evenings include Highland Dancing and Celtic music from Scotland, Ireland, Brittany, Asturia and Galicia, played on the forecourt outside the historic castle (wet weather venue will be the castle’s ballroom).  Tickets are on sale on the night and cost £6.50 for adults, £4.50 for concessions and accompanied children are free.

The events begin at 7.15pm and gates will open from 6.00pm.  Blair Castle’s Tullibardine Restaurant will be open for food and refreshments, as will Blair Castle’s gift shop (discount vouchers will also be available on the evening on presentation of the free programme). Celtic Evenings details from Blair Castle on 01796 481207

The Celtic Evenings are part of a busy year for the Pitlochry & Blair Atholl Pipe Band.  In the past few weeks the band has been performing in Scotland and abroad, with some members recently competing in the Breton Championships in Vannes with their twin band, Sonerien an Oriant.  The whole band will also be returning to Brittany again later this summer for the Festival Interceltique, the largest Celtic music festival in the world.
