Victory for Second XI over Mayfield

Breadalbane vs Mayfield - 29 June
Strathmore & Perthshire League Division 2

Doo’cot Park has always been a happy hunting ground for the Highland Perthshire men and so it proved again as they notched up another well deserved victory, this time over luckless Mayfield CC.

On the manicured Doo’cot batting track, Mayfield were bundled out for just 123, testament to some very tight bowling from the Breadie attack. The wily spin of Mark Bowler accounting for 4 wickets conceding just 17 runs in the process.
The Breadies were in the pub 21 overs later as they overcame the lowly total with just one wicket down. Chris Eyes plundered the Mayfield attack hitting 70 not out including 10 fours and a six. It was a welcome return to the Breadie ranks for stalwart Andrew Duncan Millar who contributed a solid 29 not out to the Breadalbane total.
